COMPETITIVE (REP) TEAM TRYOUTS
KMH players can try out for the following competitive teams in the 2025-26 season:
UNDER 13 (BORN 2014 & 2013)
U13 EAST KOOTENAY AVALANCHE
(A TEAM)
UNDER 15 (BORN 2012 & 2011)
U15 EAST KOOTENAY AVALANCHE
(A TEAM)
U15 EAST KOOTENAY BUCKS
(B TEAM)
UNDER 18 (BORN 2010, 2009 & 2008)
U18 EAST KOOTENAY AVALANCHE
(A TEAM)
U18 EAST KOOTENAY BUCKS
(B TEAM)
IMPORTANT: Please note that TRYOUT REGISTRATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY MAY 31, 2025
Registration for competitive team tryouts is TWO PARTS:
PART ONE: Please select the link below to register your intention to sign up for tryouts with KMHA. There will be no charge for this registration, but it will allow KMHA to keep track of players and will qualify your player for the Kruger Big Assist pricing if they do not play for a competitive team next year.
PART TWO: Register for either the East Kootenay Avalanche U15AA or U18AA tryouts or all other CMHA rep teams:
EAST KOOTENAY AVALANCHE U15AA or U18AA
- To be eligible to participate players must register and be in good standing with their home association
- Main camps August 22-24 at Western Financial Place in Cranbrook
- Registration Form: download the EK Acknowledgment form (below), register with your home association and have the form signed by the KMH President. You will need to upload the completed copy to complete your registration on TeamSnap.

- Deadline for Registration: June 30, 2025
- Registration closes: July 31, 2025
- Late Fee: $100 late fee will be applied to all applications received after June 30, 2025
ALL OTHER SELECT TEAM TRYOUTS WITH CRANBROOK MINOR HOCKEY
- To be eligible to participate players must register and be in good standing with their home association.
- Registration Deadline: May 30th 2025
- Cost $120
- Late Fee: $250 will be added to the $120 registration fee after the deadline
- The Cranbrook Minor Hockey Association (CMHA) manages tryouts and registrations for these competitive teams
- If a player is selected to participate on a regional/competitive team, we will commence the transfer and the full registration fee will be collected at that time.
