APPLICATION
We are looking for passionate individuals committed to coaching and supporting our divisions in the 2024-2025 season. The deadline for head coach applications is July 31, 2024.
CERTIFICATION
A Coaching Certification is required for everyone on the bench during the hockey season. Certification is done through BC Hockey and the levels required can be found below.
CATT
CATT (Concussion Awareness Training Tool) is a mandatory by BC Hockey and must be completed before any coach or helper can be on the ice.
RECORD CHECK
Criminal record checks are required every three years. The deadline to submit a completed record check is September 15, 2024. You can apply for a criminal record check at the local RCMP or online.
RESPECT IN SPORT
Respect in Sport training is required for all coaches, helpers, and managers. It is an online course on Sport Bullying, Abuse, Harassment and Discrimination prevention.
COACHING CLINICS
Coaching Clinics are hosted all over the province. Coaches must be enrolled in the appropriate course for the level they are coaching by December 15, 2024.
